Typically, it is rather complicated to study, and the years of being a student are usually quite stressful. To begin with, you're not only having constant assignments and tests, you regularly come across misunderstanding and judgment from both professors and your group mates, not to mention the pressure from the parents and relatives. Still, I am afraid to say, life after university will be even harder, so be prepared. Here are 3 things that you should always keep in mind in order not to waste your time for nothing.

don`t waste your time

You've chosen a wrong field and don't feel that it is your cup of tea.

In life, it is always better to know your destination, so it's easy to follow your path. However, only the luckiest got the opportunity to know it deep inside, all the 'muggles' are in a constant search for self. And I can assure you, there is nothing worse than understanding that you've spent several years of your life learning something that you're not passionate about. If the matter you're studying is not interesting and you don't find it amusing, most likely you've chosen wrong. It may be hard to admit but even harder to accept. When you're genuinely interested, it is such a joy to learn the subject, and all the studying routine doesn't seem boring at all. Always keep in mind that it's never too late to follow your dream even if you are scared to tell your parents about your life choice, and even more when they disagree.

Plus, you can always have a private conversation with your mentor, he is your friend after all and can suggest the right direction.

I am your mentor

You are lazy and don't have sufficient knowledge in the selected area after graduating.

Those who spent a couple of years sitting behind a desk doing nothing, raise your hand! Yes, I am talking to you. Time is the most precious thing a person has, use it wisely. If you don't make an effort learning all these things you came for, why even being here? It is a very restraining thought to suppose you should only learn because you were told to. Actually, an educated and well-rounded person is always a good company and a professional employee. Don't get me wrong, you should try to be polite and attentive to everyone; however, it's a real pleasure to talk to a man who can make conversation.

welcome to college

What is more, the real question being whether you value your own time, as you won't ever be as young and free as you are today. So, if you truly decide to follow some career path, do yourself a favor and work bloody hard.

You are too afraid of competition that you're not even trying.

I can honestly say that I'm a master of giving up and comparing myself to others. You most likely have people who are already too rich/ know what they're doing in life/ succeed in everything they start/ just too lucky and get what they want not making an effort (underline the correct variant). We all have them and hate them, which is completely wrong. So stop being afraid you'll definitely lose, life is not a competition as long as you're bothered with your own problems. What if there's a chance you'll have everything you want? That's exactly the reason why you should spend these years studying and trying to become the best version of yourself. Always better than yesterday, right?

The years of being a student are always accompanied by crazy parties, weekly hangovers, and a lot of drama. But if you at least try to remember and consider these three things mentioned above, there is definitely a smaller chance you regret the time spent in college.
